Yash Chopra to bring snow back in romance

He made Swiss Alps the most wanted honeymoon destination for newly wedded couples in India.
The sub-zero temperature notwithstanding, for Yash Chopra films, snow clad mountains became the perfect backdrop for romance.

Be it Amitabh Bachchan and Rakhee Gulzar snuggling in a shawl in Kabhie Kabhi or Amitabh and Rekha holding hands and singing Dekha Ek Khwab in Silsila, Yash Chopra, snow and romance have been inseparable. And iconic. And now, the filmmaker who is returning to direction with the yet untitled Shah Rukh Khan - Katrina Kaif starrer after 8 years, is keen on bringing back the same white romance in his upcoming venture. Mumbai Mirror has learnt that Yash Chopra is busy location hunting. And this time, he wants his favourite snow clad mountains back.

The filmmaker confirmed that he wants a part of the film to be shot in a snow clad region. "It is being planned," said Chopra.

Mirror learnt that the production house is busy hunting the perfect locale for the film.

Apart from snow clad mountains, the SRK-Katrina starrer will also be shot in several other foreign locales. In fact, for the next schedule, the entire cast and crew of the film will be traveling to London next month.

Talking about his favourite hero SRK and the progress of the film, Chopra added, "Shah Rukh is such a lovely boy. It is always fun shooting with him. We have finished shooting a song here (in Mumbai). Now, we will be going to London next month. After we return, we will be shooting in India for a while. The team is still busy location hunting. Everything will be finalised by the time we come back."

Interestingly, SRK too has romanced various heroines on snow clad mountains for the filmmaker. In YRF's Darr, he sang Tu Mere Saamne for Juhi Chawla on a snow clad peak. InDiwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, SRK was subjected to Kajol's drunken passion in the song Zaraa Sa Jhoom Loon Main. And that too was on a snow clad vale.

I will not talk about SRK, says Priyanka

Putting the Shah Rukh Khan controversy to rest, Priyanka Chopra refuses to let the rumour affect her composure.
The actress, who has been in news for her alleged romance with Shah Rukh Khan minced no words when she told a daily, “I will not talk about this. I shall never talk about this.”
Speaking about her upcoming release ‘Agneepath’, the actress said, “I am nervous and excited. Reports have been brilliant. They have liked Hrithik (Roshan), Sanju (Sanjay Dutt) and my work. More than anything, they have loved the film. I’m very proud of Karan (Malhotra, the director) as this is his first film and I’m his first heroine. For me, it’s not a remake. I hadn’t even seen the original ‘Agneepath’ till I signed this film. Also my role has been written fresh.”

Apprently, Priyanka’s close proximity with SRK has alienated the actress from the Salman Khan camp. “I have worked with every co-actor possible. I don’t come from a film background. I don’t have relationships with people in terms of uncles and aunts. I have been an outsider. Wherever I’m today is due to the support of this film industry. They have given big films and amazing work to me. It hasn’t been because of any director, production house, actor or a person. I have never been a part of any camp. I respect every co-actor tremendously and equally. I would work with anyone,” the actress said.

We know Priyanka that you are a self made girl!

Shahrukh Khan talks about Katrina Kaif and Kolkata Knight Riders

If there is one man who is actively seen on both a cricket pitch and a cinema screen, it is none other than Shahrukh Khan! In an interview, Shahrukh Khan talks about his co-star Katrina Kaif and the expectations from his team Kolkata Knight Riders in the upcoming season of Indian Premier League!

Speaking about his next film starring Katrina Kaif, Shahrukh said that Kat is a really hardworking actress who gives her best to make and sound the character that she is playing believable! He even said that though he and Katrina Kaif are not the best of friends, they share a decent professional relationship and do not rake over old coals (the infamous Salman Khan-Shahrukh Khan spat on Katrina Kaif’s birthday).

Anyhow, as the next season of the Indian Premier League is approaching, SRK, like everyone else, is thrilled! Though King Khan said he might not be available for the upcoming auctions, he said that regardless of what he might be doing, like the past four seasons he will always be there for his team and his family.

He added that the team members have been practicing really hard and he hopes Kolkata Knight Riders performs brilliantly this season!

Anyhow, it was nice to see Shahrukh Khan talking about K K K K Kiran…err…Katrina Kaif and Kolkata Knight Riders! Tee-hee

Kamal Haasan wants Shahrukh Khan for Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu remake.

Shahrukh Khan is in a dilemma. He has to choose between the remakes of two Tamil remakes, A R Murogadoss' Ramanna and Gautham Menon's Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu. Both offer the picky superstar Khan a chance to do something he hasn't done before. A South Indian remake with parts that he hasn't tried before.
Says a source, "While Murugadoss' film casts SRK as a social crusader, Menon's film casts him as a cop, a role he has played just once in Shashilal Nair's One 2 Ka 4 and that too a plain-clothed cop. SRK has never got a chance to get into khaki uniform. This, Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu will let him do."
Indeed, Gautham Menon informs that Shahrukh is the only choice for the Hindi remake of Vettaiyaadi Vilaiyaadi. Contrary to reports, Salman Khan is not up for consideration for the Hindi adaptation of the Gautham Menon's 2006 Tamil hit Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu. It's Shahrukh Khan all the way. Apparently, the mighty Kamal Haasan who played the role of the cop on the lookout for a serial killer in Tamil original, has expressed a keen interest in Shahrukh playing the role in the film's Hindi version.
Says a source close to the project, "Kamalji is extremely fond of Shah Rukh. They go back a long way to the time when 12 years ago Shah Rukh agreed to do Kamalji's Hey Ram free of cost. When director Gautham Menon who understandably respects Kamalji's opinion asked the thespian who should play his role in the Hindi remake, Kamalji promptly gave Shahrukh's name."
So Shahrukh it is. Menon confirms this. Says the softspoken director, "I don't know where these reports of Salman Khan being an option for Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu are coming from. It's Shahrukh Khan who's the first and only choice. Kamalji played the part in the Tamil original. So Shahrukh seems the right candidate for the part."
Kamal Haasan says, "Yes someone like Shahrukh would be right for the Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu remake."
Interestingly, Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu would explore the same dark noire cop-killer space as Aamir Khan's Talaash.
A source close to the project tells us that the only reason Shahrukh has not given a final nod to Gautham Menon's remake is because he wants to see how Talaash is received by the audience.

Is Anurag Kashyap planning a film with SRK?

There are no permanent friends or enemies in Bollywood and Anurag Kashyap would know this. The filmmaker who is known to have been quite brazen about his dislike for certain clans within the industry once, now seems to be warming up to the very same people.
Few weeks ago we saw him make amends with Arbaaz Khan at a party and now we hear that the filmmaker was seen spending some quality time with superstar Shah Rukh Khan.
Says a source, "Last week at a party for one of the upcoming awards SRK, Anurag, Kalki, Gulshan Deviah and Karan Johar were seen hanging out together. In fact they left the venue together. Everyone was surprised because it was a whole new gang bonding with each other."
Interestingly not too long ago, stories about trouble brewing between Anurag and SRK were doing the rounds, because the filmmaker apparently thought the actor wasn't the right choice for his film Bombay Velvet. Kashyap soon brushed off the rumours saying Aamir was always the first choice for the role.
However, a few days back at a press conference, Anurag said, "I would love to work with Shah Rukh and Hrithik. They are extremely talented." Adds the source, "After the party, the whole gang was spotted at SRK's Bandra bungalow. So it looks like there was some serious discussion going on."
Post Udaan, Karan Johar and Kashyap were also set to team up for Vikramaditya Motwane's next. Though that did not materialise, may be there's something bigger in store. Watch this space for more.

Sanjay Dutt plays peacemaker between Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan

Actor Sanjay Dutt has decided to play peacemaker between two of the leading warring Khans of Bollywood, Salman and Shah Rukh Khan .

In fact, Sanjay made it clear that the infamous Salman-Shah Rukh fight was a thing of the past.

At the launch of Super Fights League -- Sanjay's new business venture with Shilpa Shetty's husband Raj Kundra -- the actor said that the fight between Salman and SRK was long over.

"Kahan hai ladai? Koi ladai nai hai (Where is the fight? There is no fight between them)," he said.

Sanjay, however, joked that if fans insist he would not mind playing a referee and help bring the two most loved Khans of Bollywood together.

SRK Vs Salman: Who Will Fit Kamal Haasan's Role of Cop?

Even as controversy over Colors Screen Awards refuses to die, a new debate has cropped up between the fans of two powerful Khans, over who would better suit the challenging role of the cop in Tamil blockbuster film 'Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu' in its Hindi version.

The  'Khan War' this time  between Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan seems to be a really interesting one, but odds say Salman Khan would be getting the role because of his track record in playing cop's roles.
"SRK has hardly played any successful cop's role in bollywood, so Sallu should get this role. Kamal Haasan has done it brilliantly in Tamil, and if anyone could do a nearly good job of it in Bollywood it's only Sallu Bhai," says a Salman Khan fan in Mumbai.
"Look at the role played by Salman in 'Wanted', it was superhit. Also, he was very successful in another remake movie - Dabangg, which was remade from Tamil movie 'Pokhri'."
In the latest episode, director Gautham Vasudev Menon is guilty of adding more fuel to the fire.
'Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu' remake in Hindi is just being planned, but the director wants one of the Khans in this movie. However, he is as yet undecided on his choice.
If rumours are to be believed, Salman fans will soon have the last laugh for sure!

AR Murugadoss, SRK & Bhansali join hands

Earlier it was reported that King Khan will sign a movie with 'Ghajini' fame AR Murugadoss. It was then said that the ace filmmaker had two scripts on hand for the Badshah of Bollywood. But now here's something new on this front.
It is said that AR Murugadoss will be remaking his 2002 Tamil film 'Ramana' in Hindi. The film, starring Vijaykanth, revolved around a common man's fight against corruption by forming an Anti Corruption Force.

According to sources, when Sanjay Leela Bhansali heard the script of the film he was so impressed with it that he bought its rights. From there, Bhansali went to SRK with the offer to play the lead in the film, who in turn said to have liked the film as well. And apparently that's how AR Murugadoss was brought on board again for his project...

If all goes well, one can expect a fabulous treat from this talented trio - Shah Rukh Khan, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and AR Murugadoss...
Murugadoss is currently busy with work on 'Thupakki' with Vijay.
